THE SMART MATERIALS COMPANY

An innocuous elastic band that twitches like a muscle when electrically activated.
A coating that absorbs heat in winter but turns into a heat mirror in summer.
A shape-memory foam that can coil up to capture and remove pollutants.

turns into a solid filter deep in the oil
wells to extract valuable gas.
A smart film embedded with sensors thatrelease agents to prevent fruits from rotting.

These are but a few of the disruptive technology solutions that Bioastra offers its clients and partners in a wide variety of industries ranging from food packaging, textiles, energy, cleantech and the life sciences.
